Prince Edward Flying Club (CNT7)

Just watch, all of you men. I’ll show you what a woman can do … I’ll go across the country, I’ll race to the Moon… . I’ll never look back. (Edna Gardner Whyte's first solo flight, New Year’s Day, 1931)

IMPORTANT NOTE TO PILOTS: Prior Permission Required

Quinte - Flight 53 (Prince Edward Flying Club)

Picton Airport is a Prior Permission Required (PPR) airport, and operates as a private aerodrome. The airport is sometimes used for other activities so please check NOTAMs for details. The aerodrome is available for users of the Prince Edward Flying Club and pilots operating private aircraft, provided they receive PPR to land. Base 31 does not operate any aircraft maintenance nor have any refueling facilities. Periodically the private aerodrome is closed to flight activities for events occurring on or near the runways.

Pilots seeking to land at the Base 31 aerodrome must seek prior permission to land via email: After hours and on weekends: 613-921-3832. Landing and tie-down fees may be applied. PPR will be granted between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Permission to land on weekends must be arranged in advance. NOTE: PPR is not required for Fly-in events.

Celebrating 70 Years!

Find YOUR Wings Career Fair for girls and young women will introduce attendees to careers in the aviation industry, and encourage them to explore a myriad of professions.

This free, half-day program on September 23rd from 1:00 to 4:00 pm is designed to inspire young women to broaden their horizons, reach new altitudes, follow their dreams, and believe in themselves and what they can achieve.

Inside the hangers, you can chat with pilots, and learn about various aviation-related organizations.  Women and men involved in aviation will deliver short presentations (30 minutes + Q&As), and you can walk the flight line to view static displays of local light aircraft, helicopters, aerobatic aircraft, and a RCAF CF-18 cockpit. Also on hand: female firefighters and OPP officers from the PEC detachment.
