What a great spring morning for our first flying club breakfast! I'm sure everyone would agree that it was nice to see many familiar faces after what was to all accounts, yet another "old school" Canadian winter.
We have to thank Jim, Jackie, Terry and Mary Rae for handling all of the cooking at our first fly-in breakfast of 2015. Great job filling in for the slow-returning Shantzs. We also appreciate the work by Scott and Jeff on the building itself which survived another harsh winter.
While we didn’t have our regular monthly meeting, rest assured that we will discuss this year’s events at our AGM in May. These will include Father’s Day, bylaws, further building improvements, runway closures, and other concerns of the membership.
I can also report that Sandra and Glen began collecting membership fees and said a good number are already paid up. FYI, a single is $25 and an associate (spouse) is $10 which gives that person full voting rights.
